10 Shot Sequence

In this assignment we had to make a 10 shot sequence of someone going somewhere. My partner wanted to go to the cafeteria to get food so that is what we filmed.
We used 6 original shots and then copied 4 more shots to make the sequence. The 6 shots we did use were Close up, Medium, Wide, Extreme wide, POV, and Over the shoulder shots. Close up shots emphasize the characters emotions, Medium shots focus on emotion, but also show the characters torso, Wide shots focus on the character but also show their feet and some of their surroundings, Extreme shots show the character and the setting in which the character is in. POV shots go in the point of view of the character, so you can see what they see, and Over the shoulder shots show part of the character, and can also show what they are looking at. I learned how to film people moving to a specific location and also learned how to film different shots while moving, such as Over the shoulder shots.
