Overview
On Tuesday, December 15, the ONW Ravens took on the Wyandotte Bulldogs for the first home game of the season. The Ravens went into the game with a 2-2 overall record.
The Ravens started off the game strong, with points being scored from all over the court. They continued the same dominance throughout the whole first half, dominating the boards and also putting lots of pressure on the Bulldogs. Going into the half, the Ravens were up 27-9.
Coming out of the half, the Ravens didn't let up. They continued to put pressure on the Bulldogs, stretching out the lead even more. The Raven post players dominated the game, posting big numbers in both the scoring and rebounding columns.
Junior Matt Vanderslice led the team in scoring and rebounds, with 22 points and 11 rebounds. Sophomore Jack Parks also had a dominate game, scoring 15 points and coming away with 6 rebounds.
The Ravens came away with the win, beating the Bulldogs 63-24. Coach Grove was very pleased with the win, saying "We did a great job if handling their pressure and punching the ball inside", he also said, "The guys did a good job of containing the ball and defensively rebounding".
With this win, the Ravens improve their record to 3-2. Going on from this, the Ravens will take on Shawnee Mission South, at Shawnee Mission South, where they will hope to grow from this dominate performance.
