Overview
This year, I was assigned to run the sound system for our student news segment "ONW Now". Running the sound was pretty confusing at first, because the school bought a new sound board, and we had to learn all of the new things that came along with it.Problems
The main problems we encountered involved having all of the different inputs set the same way. The soundboard has around 16 different inputs, and with all of the different E-Communication classes working in the same area, some of those inputs are bound to be messed with. Then, when we went to go film ONW Now, the sound would sound off so we'd have to go through the different inputs and see what was wrong.
What I Learned
I've learned a lot since the beginning of the year, like how to turn up the "Gain" system, in order to make the sound louder. I've also learned how some of the inputs work, and what they're connected with. I think the sound system has made a big improvement since the beginning of the year also, because we've learned how to work the sound system efficiently, and effectively.
This was our first production of ONW Now, from about 2 months ago.
And this was one of our most recent productions, I think there is a big difference in the sound quality from the 1st edition.
